Privacy Policy
1. Core Commitments
LECTIO provides OCR text recognition, image/document text extraction and translation assistance. We do not retain users’ uploaded images, document originals, OCR text or translation results on our company servers on a long-term basis.
Our own business database only retains login information and purchase/subscription information on a long-term basis, and such information is stored within mainland China.
Certain OCR, translation or model-based functions may be enabled only after you provide your own API key. You enter and manage the API key yourself. We do not store your API key on our company servers. OCR, image understanding, translation or model outputs returned by third-party providers are for reference only and are not guaranteed to be accurate, complete, timely or suitable for any particular purpose.
2. Information We Collect and Use
1. Login information: when you register or sign in with an account provided by the Software, or use third-party sign-in channels such as Apple, Google, WeChat and others, we may collect account identifiers, email address, phone number, nickname, avatar and necessary sign-in credentials returned by the relevant platform, depending on your authorization.
2. Purchase information: when you purchase membership, subscription or paid features, we retain necessary information such as order ID, purchase channel, product name, subscription status, validity period, refund or cancellation status. Payments are generally processed by platforms or channels such as the Apple App Store, Google Play, WeChat Pay and others. We do not collect full payment account details such as full bank card numbers.
When you actively take a photo, import an image/PDF, or submit text for recognition or translation, we process such content only to the extent necessary to provide the requested function. If you choose to call a third-party service using your own API key, the content will be processed by the provider you selected under its own terms and privacy practices.
4. Analytics information: we may collect app launches, feature usage frequency, page views, version information, device type, OS version, approximate region or anonymous user identifiers to analyze product performance, improve stability and optimize services.
5. Crash logs and diagnostics: when the Software encounters an error or crash, we may collect error stacks, error codes, device model, OS version, app version and network status to locate and fix issues. Such information should not include users’ documents, audio, images, clipboard content or API keys.
6. Push notification information: to send service status, purchase status, task completion, version updates or important notices, we may use system, vendor or third-party push services and process device push identifiers and notification status as necessary.
7. Apple information sync: if you choose to enable Apple or system-level information sync, the relevant synced content will be processed according to the sync scope you selected and the rules of Apple and other applicable platforms. This feature is not enabled by default.
3. Permissions
• Camera: used only when you actively capture content for recognition.
• Photos, files or storage: used only when you import images/PDFs, export results or save local files.
• Network access: used for sign-in, purchase verification, analytics, crash diagnostics, push notifications and user-selected API calls.
4. Sharing and Third-Party Services
We do not sell your personal information. To provide sign-in, purchase, analytics, crash diagnostics, push notification, information sync and other necessary functions, we may share information required for those functions with platforms or service providers such as Apple, Google, WeChat and others.
When you use your own API key to call OCR, translation or model services, the images, documents, text or request content you submit may be transmitted to the third-party provider selected by you. Please review and comply with that provider’s terms and privacy rules.
We may disclose relevant information where required by applicable laws or lawful requests from competent authorities, or where necessary to protect the lawful rights and interests of users, the Company or the public.
5. Retention and Security
Login information and purchase/subscription information are stored within mainland China and retained only for the period necessary to provide the services and meet legal requirements. Crash logs, analytics information and push notification information are retained for the period necessary for diagnostics, analysis or notification purposes, and then deleted or anonymized.
We use reasonable security measures such as access controls, encrypted transmission, permission management and log auditing. Please understand that no internet environment is absolutely secure, but we will use reasonable efforts to prevent unauthorized access, disclosure, damage or loss.
6. Your Rights
You may request access to, correction, copy or deletion of your personal information, account closure, withdrawal of consent, or an explanation of our personal information processing rules, subject to applicable law. Please contact us at official@kaichenera.com. We will respond within the period required by applicable law.
7. Minors
The Software is not directed specifically to children under the age of 14. If we discover that we have processed a child’s personal information without appropriate guardian consent, we will delete it or take other necessary measures as soon as reasonably practicable. Minors should use the Software with the consent of their guardians.
8. Updates to this Policy
We may update this Policy due to changes in laws, platform requirements or product functions. For material changes, we will provide notice in an appropriate manner. The updated Policy will take effect from the effective date indicated in the document.
